Concord Scholarships
Scholarships funded by Concord Church for members and students connected to our ministry.
E.K. Bailey Scholarship
$15,000 over three years
Honors our founding pastor and recognizes students who model excellence in academics, leadership, integrity, and financial need.
- Concord member for at least 5 years
- 3.0 GPA or higher and competitive ACT or SAT
- Full time enrollment in a 4 year college or university
- Not already receiving full tuition, fees, and housing
Bryan L. Carter Scholarship
$7,500
Celebrates superior academic performance and Christ like character in honor of our Senior Pastor.
- Concord member for at least 3 years
- 3.5 GPA or higher with strong ACT or SAT
- Enrolled in a 4 year college or university
- Not already fully funded through other sources
A. Renard Smith Merit Scholarship
$4,000
Honors charter member Aldric Renard Smith and celebrates integrity, academic excellence, and leadership.
- 3.0 GPA or higher with strong ACT or SAT
- Concord Church membership required
CMBC Merit Scholarship
$4,000
For active Youth Ministry participants who demonstrate leadership and academic excellence.
Eligibility:
- Active in Youth Ministry for 3 years
- 3.0 GPA or higher
- Excellent ACT/SAT performance
CMBC Service Award
$2,700 (3 awards)
Recognizes faithful Youth Ministry service and participation in Beaux & Debs for Christ.
Eligibility:
- Active in Youth Ministry for at least 1 year
- Participated in Beaux & Debs for Christ
- 2.75 GPA or higher
Veronica Kizzee Award
$2,000
Named after a beloved Concord staff member, this award supports young single mothers pursuing higher education.
Eligibility:
- 20–30 years old, single mom, enrolled full-time
- Member of Concord for 2+ years
- Active in at least two areas of membership: Study, Sunday, Small Group, Serve, or Share
- 2.0 GPA or higher
Interdisciplinary Award
$1,200 (2–4 awards)
For students who’ve demonstrated success in college-level studies.
Eligibility:
- Completed 12+ college credit hours
- 3.0 GPA or higher
Advanced Study Award
$1,200
Supports continued education beyond a bachelor’s degree.
Eligibility:
- Member of Concord for 2+ years
- Active in at least two membership factors
- 3.0 GPA or higher
College Award
$1,000 (4–6 awards)
Recognizes academic commitment and community service.
Eligibility:
- Accepted/enrolled in college
- 2.75 GPA or higher
- Strong extracurricular and service involvement
Mommy & Me Award
$1,000
Supports single mothers pursuing a college degree.
Eligibility:
- Single parent with custody
- 2.0 GPA or higher
Annie Marie Ellison Jackson Seminary Award
Up to $25,000 over 3 years
For women pursuing seminary education full-time.
Eligibility:
- Member of Concord for 5+ years
- Active in at least three membership factors
- 3.0 GPA or higher (initial) and 2.75 GPA to maintain
- Accepted into a seminary program
