Although the recent unemployment rate in Dallas has improved, it still remains lower than the national average. Not being equipped with the proper tools necessary to obtain gainful employment is a problem many in our community face today. The absence of access to available resources to overcome barriers can be overwhelming for citizens in our community, which is why we are pleased to host the Concord Business and Career Expo.
PARTNER WITH US
Do you have a desire to be a part of the solution in our community? If so, please consider becoming a sponsor of the Concord Business and Career Expo, which will take place on Saturday, May 5, 2018. As a sponsor, you will help us to enhance our offerings to the community. With more than 500 individuals expected to attend, your support will foster the potential economic prosperity not only with the attendees but with employers alike.
We will provide interactive career workshops focused on the career path and how to get to the next level. Additionally, there will be workshops for current and aspiring entrepreneurs. The goal is to provide insight, knowledge, and valuable information that will enrich the attendees’ ability to advance to the next step in their professional pursuits.
Concord Business and Career Expo will also offer a business networking showcase room as well as a traditional career fair. The business networking showcase room is designed for established entrepreneurs to (1) display and offer information about their products and services to potential customers and partners; (2) interact with other small businesses and business solutions organizations; and (3) create new business leads and contacts. Organizations centered on enhancing small businesses (i.e. The U. S. Small Business Administration & chambers of commerce) are encouraged to attend as well. Career fair vendors will help contribute to a decrease in Dallas unemployment rates by discussing and offering a wide variety of job opportunities. Vendors at the career fair are encouraged to conduct on-site interviews.
