The Word of God is essential to our prayer life.  The degree to which we believe in God’s Word and apply it to prayer is the degree to which God will pour out His power during our prayer.

George Mueller, at the age of 90, was able to say, “I have never had an unanswered prayer.”  His secret to receiving answers to prayer lies in how the Christian applies God’s Word during prayer.

Charles Spurgeon says, “Every promise of Scripture is a writing of God which may be pleaded before Him with this reasonable request.”  In other words, “Do as thou has said”.  Call God’s bluff.
