WHAT SCHOLARSHIP AM I ELIGIBLE FOR?
Below are the scholarship awards and it's eligibilty requirements ...

Undergraduate Awards

E. K. Bailey Scholarship Award
…Named in honor of our founding pastor. Recipient is selected on the basis of scholastic ability, integrity, leadership and financial need. Recipient must be a member of Concord for at least 5 years. This is a 4-year award.

Bryan L. Carter Scholarship Award
…Named in honor of our senior pastor, must be a member of CMBC in good standing for at least 3 years, with superior performance on the ACT or SAT; must have a minimum of 3.5 G.P.A. on 4.0 scale or equivalent, must demonstrate superior performance and ability

A. Renard Smith Merit Scholarship
Named in honor of charter member, Aldric Renard Smith, who demonstrated excellence in achievement and character throughout his short lifetime, the award recognizes students with high scholastic aptitude and outstanding performance on the ACT or SAT.  Recipient must demonstrate outstanding character and integrity.

CMBC Merit Scholarship
The award recognizes students with high scholastic aptitude.
Requirements:

  • Must be a member of CMBC in good standing for at least 3 years.
  • Must have excellent composite scores on the ACT and SAT
  • Must have a minimum 3.5 GPA and demonstrate superior performance, outstanding character and integrity

CMBC Service Awards
Must be a member of CMBC in good standing for at least 3 years
Must have participated in Beaux and Debs for Christ
Must have a min. of 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale

Page- Reeves Scholarship
Named in honor of Minnie H. Page and her sister Lillian Reeves
Awarded to candidates of historically underrepresented backgrounds

Interdisciplinary Award
Preference given to students who have completed at least 12 credit hours in an accredited college or university w/ overall  G.P.A. of 3.0 on  a 4.0 scale or equivalent. However, as in the past some new high school graduates will also receive this award.

Mae Frances Smith and Peggy Caldwell Awards
Co- sponsored by the Beaux and Debutantes for Christ Ministry. The awards are named in honor of two pioneers of the ministry.  Recipient must have been a Beau or Debutante for Christ.

 

HIS Bridge Builders Scholarship
Requirements

  • Must reside in Turner Courts
  • Must be active in His Bridge Builders
  • Must meet other scholarship requirements

Dedicated Awards

Julien Truttling Award
Named in honor of the late Julien Truttling – given to a young Concordian with a keen interest in sports, preferably baseball.

Dr. & Mrs. Wright R. Lassiter Awards
Presented to a student attending a Dallas County Community College institution.

Ivy Vine Scholarship Award
Award sponsored by women who are both members of Concord and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Recipient must be a female graduating high school senior with a min.
GPA of 3.0 on 4.0 scale.

Special Awards

Rita F. Bacon Hughes Community Service Scholarship
Requirements

  • Must provide documentation of at least 25 hours of community service during the 12-month period immediately prior to award deadline.

Tarleton State University Grant
Requirements

  • Must receive a scholarship from CMBC
  • Must attend Tarleton State University
  • Must meet established admission requirements

Graduate Awards

Awarded to students in graduate, post-graduate or professional programs at accredited institutions with a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
