S. Michael Greene is a native of Dallas, TX. He is the youngest child and only son of Pastor Shellie T. and Flora B. Greene. Michael accepted Christ as the head of his life at the age of five. He has been a dedicated member of the Concord Missionary Baptist Church since birth.
Michael has excelled in the area of academics throughout his primary education career in the Dallas and DeSoto Independent School Districts. Michael received a W.E.B. Dubious academic scholarship from Morris Brown College where he majored in Architecture. Michael was honored by the National Dean’s List for three consecutive semesters.
While attending Morris Brown College in Atlanta, Michael joined the Salem Baptist Church where Jasper Williams III is the Senior Pastor. After accepting his “calling” to the Gospel Ministry he became the youngest member of the ministerial staff at Salem. Michael, under the leadership of Vice Pastor Williams, was instrumental in starting the College Ministry.
Following God’s plan S. Michael Greene moved back to Dallas to be in full time Ministry. He currently serves as the Associate Pastor of Children at the Concord Missionary Baptist Church, where Rev. Bryan Carter is the Senior Pastor and the late Dr. E.K. Bailey was the Founding Pastor. He has served as the Associate Pastor of Children for four years. Michael is pursuing his Bachelors of Arts in English from the University of Texas at Arlington. S. Michael Greene plans to start his seminary studies at Dallas Theological Seminary in the Fall of 2007.
Michael hosted the Children’s Ministry Magazine Live Regional Conference for two consecutive years 2001-2002. Attendance for the conference exceeded the projected goal each year. The Children’s Ministry has reached thousands in the community through the Easter Extravaganza, Concord’s Harvest Time Carnival (an alternative to Halloween), Vacation Bible School and Concord’s Summer Day Camp.
Pastor Greene’s mission is to minister to the spiritual, physical, emotional, educational, and social needs of our children.
